Apple’s upcoming iOS 16.3 software update, set to arrive next week, will include key fixes for several issues. The update will address the problem of temporary horizontal lines appearing on some iPhone 14 Pro Max screens during wake-ups or restarts. It will also fix bugs with the lock screen and its widget, and provide support for the new 2nd-generation HomePod and physical security keys.
According to the iOS 16.3 Beta, the update will also resolve the issue where the wallpaper on the lock screen sometimes appeared black. The Home Lock Screen widget that was removed in the previous update (16.2) is also returning and will now show the correct status.
Additionally, the update is expected to resolve a problem where Siri did not respond properly to music requests, both on smartphones and in CarPlay.
The release of the new iOS is expected to occur on Tuesday or Wednesday and will coincide with the release of macOS Ventura 13.2 for MacBooks.
