Despite his intimidating presence, one police officer dared to challenge him – Shailendra Singh, the then Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Singh’s relentless pursuit of Ansari eventually led to a significant breakthrough. He managed to recover the machine gun that Ansari frequently carried with him. But Singh didn’t stop there. His efforts culminated in charges being filed against the gangster under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA), marking a significant blow to Ansari’s empire.
