On Monday, Mehtab Chauhan, the Director of Jay Ell Productions, and Jarnail Ghumaan, a prominent figure in the Punjabi music industry, announced the launch of a new and unique talent hunt program called “Gaunda Punjab- Ik Pind Ik Kalakar.”
According to Ghumaan, the creative head of the show, the goal of ‘Gaunda Punjab- Ik Pind Ik Kalakar’ is to uncover the abundant raw talent from every corner of Punjab and provide them with the exposure and platform they deserve. The program is searching for talented, up-and-coming artists, singers, writers, and musicians from all 23 districts of Punjab and Chandigarh. The age limit for participants is 15 to 35 years. Auditions will be held at the grassroots level, starting from universities, colleges, schools, auditoriums, social clubs, and other locations in various districts of Punjab to discover talent from all corners of the state. A total of 26 shows are scheduled to be organized, in which around 600 emerging singers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents.
Mehtab Chauhan announced that the first auditions for the show will take place on January 17 in Jalandhar at CT Group of Institutes. He also added that individuals who are interested in participating can register online for free on the website www.gaundapunjab.live. The show will be telecast weekly on “Balle Balle” and “The Unmute” in India and “Jus Punjabi” in foreign countries. Additionally, “Gaunda Punjab” will be available on several OTT platforms. The program will also be streamed live on the social media handle “Jay Ell Records” on YouTube and Facebook.
