New Delhi – The Indian Army has released fresh visuals from Operation Sindoor, a military operation carried out in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians dead. Shared through the official X handle of the Western Command, the footage provides a rare and compelling glimpse into the strategic cross-border operation.

The video, captioned “Planned, Trained, and Executed”, shows precision military strikes and artillery fire targeting terror bases and posts across the Line of Control (LoC) on Pakistani territory. The operation, which began on May 7, is described by Indian soldiers not as an act of revenge, but as a mission for justice.

One of the soldiers featured in the video can be heard stating,

“This operation began after the Pahalgam attack. This is not anger — it is our resolve. The message is simple: justice will be delivered, and lessons will be remembered.”

The video confirms that all the Pakistani forward posts that initiated firing were completely decimated. Sources indicate that nine terror targets, including infrastructure supporting militant infiltration in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), were successfully neutralized during the operation.

The strikes were followed by a rapid escalation in cross-border tensions, which prompted diplomatic engagement. On May 10, a ceasefire was reached between India and Pakistan, effectively bringing a temporary halt to hostilities. However, New Delhi clarified that trade relations with Pakistan and key bilateral agreements like the Indus Water Treaty would remain in abeyance until further notice.

Amidst reports by certain media outlets speculating the end of the ceasefire and possible high-level military talks, the Indian Ministry of Defence released a statement on Sunday clarifying that no Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) meeting between the two countries had been scheduled.

The statement emphasized:

“Reports suggesting the end of the ceasefire are incorrect. There is no expiry date on the agreement reached during the DGMO interaction on May 12. No DGMO-level talks are scheduled for today.”

In a parallel diplomatic initiative, the Indian government has organized a series of global delegations to present India’s firm stand against terrorism on the international stage. A total of seven delegations, comprising 51 political leaders, former ministers, and parliamentarians from across party lines, will be traveling to 32 countries and the European Union headquarters in Brussels.

These delegations are led by prominent political figures including Baijayant Panda, Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena), Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Kanimozhi (DMK), and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP). The composition includes 31 leaders from the ruling NDA alliance and 20 from non-NDA parties, reflecting a unified political front against cross-border terrorism.

Each delegation is supported by seasoned former diplomats and is tasked with engaging world leaders and institutions to advocate for stronger international action against terror networks and to highlight the Pahalgam massacre and subsequent Indian military response.

Interestingly, Pakistan has announced a similar diplomatic campaign. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to lead the country’s delegation, aimed at promoting Pakistan’s stance for “peace.” Zardari confirmed the development on X, stating:

“I was contacted today by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and asked to lead Pakistan’s delegation to present our case for peace internationally. I am honored to accept this responsibility.”

As both nations engage diplomatically, the core issue remains unresolved: cross-border terrorism and its impact on civilians. With Operation Sindoor, India has demonstrated a decisive military response while maintaining a clear message that justice — not retaliation — is the guiding principle. The government’s diplomatic outreach to global partners reinforces its commitment to counterterrorism through both force and dialogue.

Whether the ceasefire holds or not, the events surrounding Operation Sindoor are poised to become a defining chapter in the subcontinent’s modern military and geopolitical history.
