May 11, 2025 : Following a series of ceasefire and airspace violations by Pakistan during the night of 10–11 May 2025, General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), conducted a high-level security review with senior Army Commanders overseeing India’s western borders.
The review comes in the wake of increasing hostilities that threaten to destabilize the Line of Control (LoC) and surrounding sectors, just hours after a supposed de-escalation was discussed during DGMO-level talks on May 10.
In a firm and decisive move, General Dwivedi has granted full authority to Army Commanders on the western front to initiate kinetic responses to any further violations of the ceasefire understanding.
This marks a significant shift in India’s defensive posture, giving commanders operational independence to act swiftly and proportionally against any provocation.
Sources indicate that enhanced surveillance, troop readiness, and tactical deployment have been activated across sensitive sectors, especially in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab regions. The Indian Army is now on high alert, prepared for immediate response if provoked again.
This development sends a strong message to any adversary contemplating further escalation: India will not tolerate breaches of agreed protocols and is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty.
Nuztube India will continue to follow this evolving story closely.
