Kashmir Schools Closed on April 21 Due to Severe Weather

Srinagar, April 20: In response to the ongoing harsh weather conditions and unfavorable forecasts, the government has announced a one-day suspension of classwork in all schools across the Kashmir Valley on Monday, April 21.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students amid worsening weather.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo shared the update via a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “In light of the continuing severe weather conditions and forecasts, it has been decided that classwork in all schools of the valley shall remain suspended for one day tomorrow (21st April). This decision has been taken as a precautionary step to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.”

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates if necessary.
