In Bengaluru, Karnataka, a three-year-old girl was the victim of a heinous crime of rape and murder on Tuesday. The victim was the daughter of a single mother who worked at a garment factory and had been in a relationship with the accused for over a year. The mother and daughter lived alone.
The incident occurred in the Kamakshipalya police district in the western part of Bengaluru.
The accused allegedly committed the atrocities against the child while the mother was not at home. He has been arrested and faces charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
